Super Bowl Ads 2025: 12 Must-See Ads + Lessons To Take Away

Super Bowl Sunday isn’t just about touchdowns and trophies – it’s also the ultimate stage for unforgettable commercials. Remember Apple’s iconic 1984 Macintosh ad? It debuted during the Big Game and changed marketing forever. Similarly, over the years, brands have pulled out all the stops, making Super Bowl ads a cultural event of their own. And today we’re discussing the Super Bowl ads of 2025!

Did you know that advertising during the Super Bowl cost $37,500 on NBC and $42,500 on CBS during the first-ever Super Bowl game in 1967? Fast-forward to today, some advertisers reportedly spent over $8 million for a spot on the 2025 game. That’s how far Super Bowl advertising has come in both prestige and price.

With such high stakes, brands don’t just buy ad space, they bring their biggest, boldest, and most creative ideas to the table.

So, what exactly is this blog about? It’s about our deep admiration for creativity plus maybe a little design inspiration and some marketing lessons along the way. Ready to get inspired? Let’s go!

Super Bowl Ads 2025: Ones That Won Our Heart!

1. Dunkin’ – “DunKings 2”

Dunkin’ came up with a short Super Bowl commercial with an extended 7-minute version released online. Remember DunKings, the fictional boy band the brand introduced last year? Well, this year they built on the same theme with a few fresh faces.

The star-studded spot featured big names like Ben & Casey Affleck, Jeremy Strong, Bill Belichick, Druski & Donnie. A master class in self-parody, this ad quickly gained a lot of popularity on social media.

What made it truly stand out is the brand’s decision to build on the stars’ real-life personas rather than their stardom.

On another note, did we mention that we also like how Dunkin’ creatively and very evidently incorporated their brand colors into the commercial?

KIMP Tip: Even in video content, let your brand colors stand out. Do not underestimate the power of colors in brand recognition!

2. Rocket – “Take Me Home Rocket”

Rocket, the popular American mortgage company made headlines with their Super Bowl ad of 2025. The first component of the ad is the video featuring diverse American families creating their dream homes.

But it was not merely about the ad itself but about what came after. This heartfelt narrative culminated in a truly unique in-stadium activation – a live singalong of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” that invited all the fans in the stadium to sing along.

The unifying experience the brand created and the simple yet relatable and memorable storytelling along with the mass appeal combined made this one of the truly memorable spots among the Super Bowl ads of 2025.

The ad not only captures the beauty of emotional storytelling but also demonstrates the kind of buzz a brand can create by venturing into the path less taken. In this case, such an activation has never been done before sans events like the “card stunt” in the 1984 Summer Olympics.

3. Duracell – “Brady Reboost”

Duracell’s Super Bowl ad of 2025 features Tom Brady, in his role as a Fox NFL announcer. He appears to run out of power mid-broadcast. A Duracell scientist then replaces Brady’s batteries (who’s then revealed to be a robot). Tom Brady’s appearance was a surprise in itself and his role as a robot was the next big surprise element.

Note that this was Duracell’s first-ever appearance during the Big Game and the brand wowed its audience at its first take.

What went right with this ad? Featuring a well-known celebrity, plus an element of surprise and, simple humor. Finally, there was also clever product placement. On the whole, this ad was a hit!

4. Doritos – “Abduction”

Okay, the ad itself was pretty simple and funny. But the real reason why this one created a lot of buzz is the fact that this was fan-made.

A few days ago, Doritos announced the “Doritos Crash the Super Bowl contest” which invited fans to create an ad for Doritos’ Super Bowl spot for the year. The winning entry was featured during the big game and it quickly emerged as one of the most popular Super Bowl ads of 2025.

The creators of the video not only gained worldwide recognition with this commercial but also a $1 million prize and a trip to New Orleans for the Super Bowl.

The idea itself was unique and it helped Doritos boost their reach. Moreover, the approach of inviting fans to participate built on the momentum giving it the stage it deserves.

5. Poppi – “Soda Thoughts”

Ever found yourself battling with your thoughts when craving for something refreshing? Poppi captured this inner battle in their recent influencer-driven campaign. Among most other Super Bowl ads of 2025 featuring the big stars, this one stood out for featuring influencers and for its authentic and relatable concept.

In this commercial, social media stars Alix Earle, Jake Shane, and Robert Rausch portray everyday moments where you are torn between choosing something healthy and something truly refreshing when choosing beverages. On the whole, the commercial promotes Poppi as a healthier alternative in a no-nonsense manner.

By the way, did you also notice how the brand subtly infused Y2K aesthetics and elements of nostalgia into the visuals here? This marks the video cohesive with Poppi’s unique brand identity.

KIMP Tip: From text overlays to visual add-ons and stickers, experiment with diverse ways to customize your video with your brand’s unique flavor!

6. Jeep – “Owner’s Manual”

Jeep’s Super Bowl ad of 2025 features Harrison Ford talking about the beauty and power of freedom. Particularly, Ford speaks to the audience about the essence of freedom, control, and personal choice in life.

In a way, the ad reflects on the fact that “life does not come with a user manual” highlighting the need to chart your own path.

Did you notice that most Super Bowl commercials incorporated a serious message or simple humor into them? However, Jeep’s ad was all about reflections in a story-driven format.

So far, the reception for this commercial has been warm.

7. Ram Trucks – “Goldilocks and the Three Trucks”

Glen Powell stars in this funny Super Bowl commercial from Ram Trucks which is a comical take on the classic, “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”.

This one is not about the little girl trying the beds and furniture belonging to three bears but rather about a “woodsy dude” trying three different Ram trucks and being equally impressed with all of them.

Firstly, there’s humor and Glen Powell nails his delivery. Not to forget, the bears that make a special appearance toward the end. Secondly, the rugged outdoor setting perfectly capturing the brand’s personality and setting the right stage for promoting the brand’s trucks.

On the whole, this commercial exemplifies creative storytelling and its strength in marketing. With an element of whimsy, nostalgia, and a hint of humor, this is indeed one of the most entertaining Super Bowl ads of 2025.

8. Nike – “So Win”

Nike might be considered as one of the marketing mavericks but it’s been close to three decades since the brand made an appearance at the Super Bowl.

This year they broke their streak with the “So Win” commercial. Aligning with Nike’s signature tone of voice, the ad was inspirational. Moreover, it had a clear theme – celebrating female athletes. And the ad portrayed this theme beautifully and effectively.

The ad, both in terms of the visual and background narration invites women to break the glass ceiling. It’s bold, authentic, and typically Nike. Besides, it aligns with the sports theme as well!

9. ChatGPT – “The Intelligence Age”

OpenAI’s spot at the Super Bowl game was quite a surprise. The company wanted to expand their reach and reach audiences who have still not started using AI tools. Naturally, massive sporting events like the Super Bowl that attract all kinds of audiences from diverse age groups and other demographics offer a great platform for this reach.

The visually intriguing video from OpenAI made heads turn. With the simple use of circles and shapes, the ad communicates a deep story.

From the discovery of the use of fire to the invention of the wheel and television to the quick transition from the familiar sound of a dial-up connection to people using virtual assistants for quick tasks, this video captures the transitions in technology in a creative way.

The idea was to communicate the message that “All progress has a starting point” seemingly to eliminate any friction and convince people to embrace new technology like AI. The video communicates this story clearly and effectively.

10. NerdWallet – “Genius Beluga”

The idea was to deliver the message that “letting NerdWallet do the work for you is genius”. What better way to do this than letting a genius beluga whale speak for the company?! The ad introduces the fact that beluga whales supposedly have the IQ of a human genius.

This is followed by a CGI beluga whale voiced by Kieran Culkin recommending the use of NerdWallet to simplify personal finances.

The choice of a beluga whale as the brand’s spokesanimal was both unexpected and memorable. Belugas, known for their intelligence, perfectly symbolize the “genius” approach NerdWallet takes to personal finance.

The ad effectively communicated the brand’s value proposition while captivating the audience with its entertaining storytelling. Clearly, the ad was a winner!

11. Liquid Death – “Safe for Work”

Liquid Death has always been recognized for its unconventional marketing style and edgy tone of voice. Their Super Bowl ad for 2025 is perfectly in tune with this.

This 60-second spot humorously portrays various professionals – including pilots, surgeons, judges, police officers, and referees – drinking Liquid Death in situations where one might think they’re consuming alcohol.

The brand capitalizes on the concept of shockvertising which instantly grabs attention and makes the audience stop and take a second look. To ensure clarity, the ad closes with the statement “Don’t be scared. It’s just water” emphasizing the intended message.

12. Squarespace – “A Tale As Old As Websites”

Starring Barry Keoghan, set in a whimsical, bygone era in Ireland, Squarespace’s commercial stood out with its nostalgic appeal.

In the commercial, Keoghan is a “website delivery boy” riding a donkey through the countryside, promoting the idea that “a website makes it real”.

The story and the overall representation creatively communicate the idea that Squarespace’s website services are useful to people regardless of time and place.

Humor is the central theme of this ad and it achieves it perfectly. The imaginative storytelling combined with the charming visuals and soundtrack transports you to the bygone era. In other words, the commercial is engaging!

If you enjoyed the short commercial, the brand also launched an extended version
